Good rules of thumb:
*1 gallon of water each day for a 6 ft. tree.
*Once a  tree dries out it can't be refreshed in the stand.
*100 lights for every 1 ft of height.

 Plant Care *Live potted trees

Plant keeping soil level in container equal to the ground level or a “tad “ (1/2 inch) higher. Never plant deeper! Amend backfill with 30% peat or compost. Water 2 x a week  when  it's dry out . Fertilize next Spring.

Decorating for the  Holidays’and then planting:

This routine is the best advice we can give. As an * indoor Holiday tree.  Keep indoors 7 to 10 days maximum… Then place in an unheated garage for the duration of the winter.  Water  lightly 2 x a week. When the ground thaws  early –mid March plant your tree.

As an *outdoor Holiday tree ,keep outdoors decorated as long as you desire, remember to water, then place in a mulch mound outdoors , covering up to the top of the pot. Plant when the ground thaws.
